Films
As a film The Evocation could be seen as meta memory companion piece, linking many of my films, their locations and their characters together. The film was produced from a personal archive of Super8 and 16mm spanning 20 years.
If this film is viewed in conjunction with Nunchaku (2006) and the series of films titled This City is an Illusion films (Part I and II) there will be direct links and fascinating overlaps for the more keen eyed viewer.
Like with many of my films, they interlink and
are produced from a Gnostic tenet.
The film also takes direct inspiration from the films of Chris Marker.
