Portfolio > KODAK SUPER8 DEMO (2000)

In 2000 Kodak commissioned myself and my brother Daniel Astbury to produce and shoot a promotional film for Kodak Super8.
This short visual film was shot across London (UK), Brighton (UK) and New York (US). The film demonstrates the different looks and textures of Kodak Super8 film stocks.

Once the shooting was completed the Super8 film was developed and scanned at Eastman Kodak in New York on a Spirit scanner in 16.9 aspect ratio. Some of the Super8 footage was shot with a 2x anamorphic lens, giving an aspect ratio of 2.40.1.
The film was shot with five different Super8 cameras: a Canon 1014XLS, a Canon 814XLS with wide-angle lens, a Nalcom with custom mounted 2x Iso-optic Anamorphic lens, a Beaulieu 6008S and a Bauer Royal.
