NEW YORK 1999
This film is a visual ode to one of my favorite cities.
The Super8 footage in this film was shot in the cold winter of January 1999 on 10 rolls of grainy out-of-date USSR Super8 B/W film stock called Quartz, rated 50 ISO.
New York was a place I visited frequently between 1996 and 2008. I shot a large section of the Kodak Super8 promo in the summer of 2000 (see Kodak Super8 Promo).
The twin towers were a sight to behold, but they only feature in two frames of this film - hence the nostalgic element to this film.
